Terms of Service

Kaiken is a free index and player front-end for anime and manga hosted by third parties. It is offered as-is, with no promise that it will keep working, stay online, or continue to exist. We may change, restrict, or shut down any part of it at any time, without notice and without owing you anything.

Nothing on Kaiken is sold. There is no subscription, no payment, and no paid tier, so there is nothing to refund.

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your password to yourself. Use an accurate email address — it is the only way to recover your account. Do not impersonate someone else, and do not create accounts to evade a suspension.

You may delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms.

You agree not to:

• scrape, mirror, resell, or rebuild Kaiken's catalogue or API as your own service;
• run automated traffic against the site beyond ordinary personal use, or attempt to bypass rate limits;
• attack, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or the infrastructure behind it;
• post comments that are unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that exist to spam or advertise;
• use Kaiken for anything illegal where you are, or in a way that would put us in breach of the law.

Genuine security research is welcome. If you find a vulnerability, report it through the contact form before disclosing it, and do not exfiltrate other people's data while proving the point.

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting it, you give us permission to display it on Kaiken. We may remove any comment that breaks these terms, and we do not pre-screen comments, so the presence of a comment is not an endorsement of it.

Kaiken does not own, licence, or upload the anime and manga it indexes. Availability, quality, accuracy, and legality of that material are determined by the third-party services it comes from. See the disclaimer for the full picture, and the contact form if you hold rights in something and want it removed.

Kaiken is provided without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, from anything you reach through it, or from the service being unavailable.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions. Where that is the case, they apply to the maximum extent permitted, and nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do, and continuing to use Kaiken after that means you accept the update. If you do not, stop using the site and delete your account.
